I know I promised a swatch of Singulière, but I figured a photo of it actually on my lips is more helpful, no?
Singulière is a light to medium bright pink with a sheer, balm-like formula. You can see how much more subdued it appears on my lips than it does in the bullet. It's not unusual for me to suffer from dry lips and while I usually have to apply lip balm before applying lipstick, with Singuliere I can just apply it on its own because it feels like a lip balm and is very moisturizing for a lipstick. It's sheer, but not super sheer, and is very buildable. It also has a really shiny finish that is perfect for those yes-my-lips-are-just-naturally-this-plump-and-glossy days ;)
Like a lot of girls who like to splurge on a few luxury brand beauty products every now and again, the gorgeous packaging was not lost on me. You can see how the seemingly clear cap has some holographic properties as well because being 100% clear is obviously much too boring for Dior ;)
I originally debated between getting Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Chance or Dior Addict Lipstick in Singulière because they both were the token, pale pink shades from their respective lines. I also got really mixed feedback on Twitter as far as which I should go for but in the end, I took a chance and went with Singulière (ironic much??) because based on swatches I found online, it seemed a bit darker and brighter (better for me because really pale pink lips make me look like a porn star) and less creamy than Chance (better wear time perhaps).
You'd think that after shelling out $28 for a lipstick my luxury lipstick craving would be satisfied for a least a little while, right? Wrong. I still want a Chanel Rouge Coco Shine, although I'm not sure which shade to go for...any suggestions? :D
